I received the same as everyone else: a recording from a\' Mark Wallace\' about a legal complaint against so-and-so [this, a robo-voice edited into the recording] and if I do not respond the next step is to go to the authorities. Yada, yada, yada...
2 funny things:
--Most spam calls won\'t, but this one left me a VM yesterday that I ignored, and the only reason I picked up today was that I was getting ready to tell off what I was hoping was a live telemarketer. Next time! :)
--the name of the alleged defendant/respondant was completely unintelligible, and was nothing close to mine nor anyone I know (it sounded like \'Don-man Nugget\'!)
Whatever this is, it\'s some weak $hite.

AG 7 years agoI have been receiving calls saying that there is a legal complaint against my name and if I do not respond the next step is to go to the authorities. They not only called my cell phone but my home phone, my daughter\'s phone, my wife\'s phone and my son\'s phone.(0)

Annoyed 7 years agoThis number have called me more than once in a day and more than one day. This is probably about the 3rd time they have called. The first he identifies himself and the second call they don\'t. Just says that they have a formal complaint filed against me and the next order of business is to contact the proper authorities. I have NO idea why ANYONE would have a formal complaint against me to the extent of contacting the \'authorities\'. I am not sure what this is all about but my phone company has these type of calls screened so they don\'t get through...only to leave a message.(0)

Gina 7 years agoThey called me twice today saying there was a formal complaint against my sister. This is after a few weeks ago I got the same message about me 4 times in 2 days between 2 phone lines. The call is always from the same person, Mark Wallace. Debt collectors do not work like this, they have to notify you in writing. As far as the proper authorities go, not paying a debt is NOT a criminal offense. If it were, how many of us would be locked up? This is a scam. Please don\'t be fooled.(0)

MaryAnn 7 years agoHave received 2 calls in 2 days from this number, let them go to voicemail as i do not answer unknown numbers. They also called my daughters cell number which she did not answer. They also said if they did not here from me they will go to THE AUTHORITIES, big scam, got caught once in this kind of scam, will never happen again. Was told by an attorney that by law they have to notify you by written notice. If someone know a way to report these people please let us know, there has to be a way to stop this.(0)

Anonymous 7 years agoI just received a call went to voice mail since I don\'t pick up calls I don\'t know. Saying that there is a legal complaint against my sister in-law\'s name and if I do not respond the next step is to go to the authorities. I called back and I was told they need to speak to my sister in law TODAY. I asked why is my phone being used and what is the complaint that is being filed against her and the lady couldn\'t give me any information since I\'m not my sister in law. Sounds very shady 1. because they called my number 2 because they are asking for my sister in law 3. the lady gave me zero information. Don\'t waste your time with this number. (0)
