Caller said (strong East Indian accent) that he was a Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) agent (he said his name was \'Michael Ross\' ID 57424... suuuure). He provided his batch number, etc. He threatened to take action against me if I didn\'t pay a debt, freeze bank accounts, send the RCMP, etc, etc ... it\'s a SCAM!
CRA will never send the police to your home. Anyway, I called CRA (the real one @1-888-863-8657) and explained what had just happened and they confirmed it was an intent of a SCAM. I called back this fraudulent number (now \'Kevin Roger\' ID 70496 with a stronger East Indian accent) asked me was if the police had already got a hold of me. I said YES (not true) and that I had already made payback arrangements with CRA and thanked them for their \'heads up\'.
They hung up on me....
